The funny thing with me is, my life is full of very harsh and mean things.

I play giutar for a living, and often I go down to the night club strip and busk all night. People there seem competitive, aggressive, violent and mean. Hardly the place for appreciation of fine art.

So... People often abuse me or ridicule me and I have been attacked a couple of times. One busker was really bashed and actually died in hospital a couple of weeks later. Just an old street person he was.

Other times I play at pubs, and it seems to me there is a kinda mean undercurrent running through most pubs.

I was a streety myself as a youngster, a druggie and a drunk too. So now I've grown to have a real talent in meaner environments, in terms of 'lightening' them.

So for me there is only the innerlight, and the light I can bring to others. It is a funny balance really - a 'no pain no gain' kinda thing.

Anyhoooooooooo...... Here's the light - !

Me little ol heart is a happy little thumper.
