 Smiley

There is a legend that has often been told

Of the boy who searched for the Windows of Gold.

The beautiful windows he saw far away

When he looked in the valley at sunrise each day.

And he yearned to go down to the valley below

But lived on a mountain that was covered with snow,

And he knew it would be a difficult trek,

But that was a journey he wanted to make.

So he planned by day and he dreamed by night

Of how he could reach The Great Shining Light.

And one golden morning when dawn broke through

And the valley sparkled with diamonds of dew

He started to climb down the mountainside

with the Windows of Gold as his goal and his guide.

He traveled all day and, weary and worn,

With bleeding feet and clother that were torn,

He entered the peaceful valley town,

Just as the Golden Sun went down.

But he seemed to have lost his "Guiding Light,"

The windows were dark that had once been bright.

And hungry and tired and lonely and cold

He cried, "Won't You Show Me the Windows of Gold?"

And a kind hand touched him and said, "Behold!

High On The Mountain Are The Windows of Gold."

For the sun going down in a great golden ball

Had burnished the windows of his cabin so small,

And the Kingdom of God with its Great Shining Light,

Like the Golden Windows that shone so bright

Is not a far distant place, somewhere,

It's as close to you as a silent prayer.

And your search for God will end and begin

When you look for Him and find Him within.

another few words from hevens letters..............

That which you seek is within you.

Search outside all you want.

Mine for gold all over the world,

and still the gold of your heart lies within your heart and soul

within your own Being.

Deves you are speaking of a thing I have been dealing with for a long time.

I often do not have sympathy. I dont feel sorry for people and I feel its correct. Now I feel sorry for them too. It diffucult to say. I dont cry at funerals and theough my heart breaks to see people crying, I also know that it was meant to be so.

I feel sorry because I know they are suffering. But I knew that if they knew what I know they would not suffer. I dont feel anyone is a victim of anything so I cannot really get in there and sympathise completely.

I mean what is sympathy really if not co-creating anothers misery through affirming it with him/her?

God said:

You must not make others’ suffering your own.
The Great Ones were compassion incarnate, yet they did not take on others’ suffering.
They saw beyond suffering.
If the Great Ones had taken on others’ suffering, they would not have been Great Ones.
They would have been more like everyone else.
But, of course, the Great Ones did not make a practice of woe. Nor must you.

The Great Ones were not indifferent. They simply saw beyond what was evident.
They did not bow down to suffering. They did not make it their own. T
hey did not make themselves unhappy because someone else was unhappy.
The Great Ones were not enablers. They did not say, “There, there.”

If the Great Ones had not risen above suffering, they would have elevated suffering.
They knew better than to honor suffering as virtuous.
And yet they were compassion incarnate. And yet they saw beyond suffering.

Their vision was too great to see what everyone saw.
They did not keep those who suffered in place. They elevated them from suffering.
They gave healing. By their very presence, they healed.

The Great Ones did not get themselves caught in a vortex of suffering.
Had the Great Ones honored suffering, who would have listened to them?
What advances in the world would they have made?
The Great Ones were humble, yet they were not humble to suffering.
They did not hold suffering in great stead. They did not make a big fuss over it.
They gave sustenance instead.

They did not ignore suffering. They alleviated it.
Their tie to Me was so great that they saw Me far more than they saw suffering.
They saw Me, and they saw Me in everyone. Their vision was wonderful.
The Great Ones served humanity, yet they were not at the beck and call of suffering.
Compassion and suffering are two different things.
