lolol chipmunk is a confirm!

I just flew back from france in the early morning and the guys asked me to go diving with the recruits - i said sure.

I weiched my nitrox mix a little higher to balance gases out and the 1 litre of coffee didnt help lol

We fall off backwards due to the tanks on our back.

They are only attached to us by 2 straps on our shoulders - if we go forward we will knock our brain pans out with them hitting us - so - we go backwards to stop injury.

Unless you use nitrox which is like having a old fashion typewritter on your chest - and for a lady with big khoogies - not pleasent feeling - also you get stared at - A LOT!  Shocked

Hmmm.

Lets see:
dont walk under ladders. (makes sense)
Breaking a mirror is seven years bad luck. (why seven?)
Spilled salt should be disposed of over your left shoulder.
A praying mantis in your house means good luck.
A lizzard or any little reptile means change is afoot.
Honey bees bring money and good vibes.

Do not lick a knive blade clean. Also a bad omen but I forgot. Maybe it gives you bad memory because I don't give a hoot about it.(also stops you from cutting your tounge by mistake.)
Dont drink anything from a cup or mug when there is a spoon in it.(Also prevents you sticking it in your eye by mistake. It happened to me.)
When you lie on your back and eat you will grow horns.   Evil  (also prevents choking.)
Masturbation will grow hair in your palms. (also prevents you from loving yourself too much Grin) (I wonder if they are gonna grow through my blisters? I was alone last night.  2funny )

I think these last four were just made up to get children to behave.

The last few im howling with laughter over lololol  alarm clock

Hairy palms - hmmmmmm lol

only come across one patient of mine whos mum found him - relieving himself.

She superglued his tackled to his hand - he had to walk to the infirmary like that.

 uglustupid2

Word of warning to males - dont let us woman catch you stroking the worm!

Oh - an OLD one my gran told me was never shine a light in a shadow?

Seemingly a shadow is there for protection - shine a light in it and you will see all the horrors of the world at night.

Think it was a bit like the bloody mary thing in the mirror - tried that once when i was drunk - 10 stitches later as i slipped and smashed my forehead in lol

woooo - sorry rambling - been scuba diving all day!!

Nitrogen - weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

surfing  Wink  Cheesy  Grin  alarm clock  Angry  Shocked  uglustupid2

i love this guy --->  tickedoff

hmmm - supersitions!

Bakers dozen - 13 rolls/breads - people used to be punished for being greedy with the baking and made hollow loaves - people caught on and they heavily fined bakers for it - hence 1 more to make weight up!

Never put a shoe on the table - nearly got my ass ripped of for that one when i was younger!!

Never kill a spider - the others always know!!!!

Magpies :

One for Sorrow
Two for Joy
Three for a girl
Four for a boy
Five for silver
Six for gold
Seven is for a secret never told

Seeing one magpie is BAD luck up here - turn clockwise and say - good morning mr magpie!

Yeah - that one is just weird!

Hey some of these are really good baby hehehehehe

I always put my right side in first  Evil

BUTTON UP: It has always been unlucky to hook or button up any item of clothing wrongly (start all over again if you do); just as you should never put your left arm, leg or foot into anything first.

KNIFE: crossing two knives is bad luck. If you are given a  present of a knife, give a coin in return to avoid 'cutting' the friendship.

'Let the superstitious wife
Near the child's heart lay a knife.
Point be up, and haft be down,
While she gossips in the town.
This amongst other mystic charms
Keeps the sleeping child from harms.' (Robert Herrick)

Quote
An English country superstition says that it is bad luck to throw any water out of the house after nightfall because it has long been regarded as a deterrent  to the denizens of the night and by throwing it out you are weakening your protection during the hours of darkness.

'They that wash on Monday, have the whole week to dry.
They that wash on Tuesday, are not so much awry.
They that wash on Wednesday, will get their clothes so clean.
They that wash on Thursday, are not so much to mean.
They that wash on Friday, wash for their need.
But they that wash on Saturdays are dirty folks indeed.'

alternatively:
'They that wash on Monday,
Have all the week to dry.
They that wash on Tuesday,
Are not so much awry.
They that wash on Wednesday,
Are not so much to blame.
They that wash on Thursday,
Wash for shame.
They that wash on Friday
Wash in need.
They that wash on Saturday,
Oh, they are slow indeed!
