Flames

Smokey the Bear heads
into the autumn woods
with a red can of gasoline
and a box of wooden matches.

His ranger's hat is cocked
at a disturbing angle.

His brown fur gleams
under the high sun
as his paws, the size
of catcher's mitts,
crackle into the distance.

He is sick of dispensing
warnings to the careless,
the half-wit camper,
the dumbbell hiker.

He is going to show them
how a professional does it.

A flame and the Sunflower

On the dance floor the fire lit
Twisting, wriggling and hissing
Itís flame reached the height
Flame had blue sunflower eyes
And a burning flame within

From the bar counter, lustfully
I watched, my heart throbbing
With the knocks of drummer
Fiercely drinking the ecstasy
That is oozing of the dance floor

In that blue depth, I saw thirst,
Glimpse of need, maddening lust
And a Longing for the sun
Like the sunflower that covet

Deep in my ignorance
Reptiles crawled, licking, hissing
Beasts roared, innocence mourned
The flame engulfed me
Through the shields of my celibacy

( i am just copying some old poems)
