Yes I also think playing devils advocate works.

Everytime when someone annoys you and you get a gap then think it through again but put yourself in the other persons shoes. Often we cannot see another point of view because we are too intent on letting another see our own point of view.

Once you see the other point of view you already inegrated a bit with that person through entering his/her reality and thus it becomes easyer to forgive and let go.

Is it not strange that we have to let go to become one? Think about it. In my spiritual journey I have to cut ties with everyone in order to grow myself up to become one with everyone again.

It only proves that the stuff we hold onto. The stuff we cannot forgive is actually kindergarden stuff to the soul and needs to be outgrown. Nothing really matters.
